Prolific North Champions Awards 2024: Everything you need to know

Prolific North Champions Awards 2024

There’s not long to go until the Prolific North Champions Awards final deadline on 11 March, so here’s a round-up of all the top tips to help you get started on your entries.

As Prolific North’s flagship award event, the Champions Awards have become a staple of the industry calendar and celebrates the talented individuals, teams and companies across the creative, digital, marketing and tech sectors in the North and Scotland.

Why you should enter

By entering the awards, it can help raise your profile, get your work in front of our panel of industry-leading judges, make new connections, and even lead to new clients or collaborations.

Some of our previous winners recently shared what they’re up to now and how it has paved the way for success.

Last year, Recode XR Studio and ITV won Tech Innovation of the Year for work on Coronation Street during Super Soap Week. Sue McHugh, co-founder at Carbon Digital and Recode XR Studio, said: “Since the awards, we have since gone on to win some incredible virtual production projects with ITV’s Protection and Sky’s Brassic series.”

As winners of Large PR Agency of the Year in 2023, Brazen’s managing director Sasha Makel said the awards are an “opportunity to recognise and celebrate the hard work of our team” and “provides a proof point of why brands should trust us.”

Judges advice

A transparent and fair judging process is at the heart of the Prolific North Champions Awards, with a carefully selected panel of industry leaders who will decide the shortlist, and ultimately the winners. You can view the full lineup of judges here.

Some of our judges recently shared their top tips for crafting a winning entry. Simon Donohue, Strategic Communications Lead at Transport for Greater Manchester, said you should seize the opportunity to show off your work. He added: ”Don’t be shy in explaining why what you did was a BIG deal.”

The best applications are those that take the judges “on a journey” alongside the “thought and effort” that has gone into bringing the words to life, explained Lee Chambers, founder and chief psychologist, Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing.
