Full-service PR and marketing agency Fifty2M has been appointed by Blackburn-based integrated IT and cloud computing provider Abbey ICT to handle its brand repositioning.

Following strategic acquisitions, Abbey has hired the Preston-based agency to help change its current perception as a purely B2B telecoms provider.

Abbey’s move to offer an integrated proposition is led by Rob Stanway (pictured), who has been brought on-board as Head of Operations from Stonehouse Logic.

He said: “Having moved into the IT space, it’s important that people come to know us not just for what we were, but for what we have become, and that’s what Fifty2M has been recruited to help with.”

Lee Petts, managing director at Fifty2M, added: “We’re looking forward to helping reposition the Abbey ICT business whilst building on and leveraging existing brand equity.

“It’s less about getting people to forget about the Abbey of old, and more about ensuring they come to know it for the expanded range of solutions it now offers, underpinned by the brand values that have made the company such a success for the past three decades.”
