PR Agency One has been appointed by Releaf, the UK’s first all-in-one medical cannabis e-clinic and creators of the legally compliant registered ‘cannabis card.’

PR Agency One will to launch Releaf’s ground-breaking services and provide ongoing PR support.

The award-winning agency has been tasked with overseeing the launch of Releaf’s Medicinal Cannabis Card and the e-clinic launch, with clear goals to build brand visibility and bring awareness to the services they offer, as well as developing an understanding of the product and its industry, alongside the benefits of its services amongst their main target audiences – patients, industry heads, law enforcement and the public.

The consumer brief aims to establish Releaf as a trusted and authoritative figure in the medicinal cannabis industry through strategic campaigns and a highly effective press office, brand activations and integrated communications.

The ultimate goal is to shatter social stigmas and secure national recognition for medicinal cannabis as a legitimate treatment option for patients.

James Crawford, Managing Director at PR Agency One, said: “Medicinal cannabis is a growing market and we relish working with Releaf as their retained PR agency to build its brand reputation and enhance its visibility within the sector as an innovative service through the use of an integrated PR strategy that drives results through earned, shared and paid and owned media.

“On a subject so topical as medicinal cannabis, it’s our task to implement clear, compliant and effective communications to build trust and consideration of Releaf’s services, as well as helping shift perceptions with wider stakeholders in the health, political and legal sectors.”

Mason Soiza, CEO at Releaf, added: “We are excited to introduce the first-ever door-to-door medicinal cannabis subscription service in the UK, which includes a legally recognised, official cannabis card.

“This service is a breakthrough within the industry and will greatly benefit those who require medicinal cannabis for their treatment. Our focus on providing exceptional service means that we are dedicated to making the process as streamlined and convenient as possible for our patients.

Soiza added that a particular part of PRA1’s brief would be buidling brand and sector awareness within the health sector: “We’re confident in PRAO’s ability to build a thought-provoking and strategic plan to amplify our launch and introduce our services to patients in the UK,” he said.

Medical cannabis has been legal for prescription by a specialist doctor in the UK since 2018, although much confusion still surrounds the issue and cannabis remains a regulated substance in the UK when not legally prescribed for medical purposes.

Releaf’s ‘cannabis card’ enables patients to digitally carry prescription information, and the handy QR code can be scanned by law enforcement to confirm patients are legally allowed to carry and consume prescribed medical cannabis.

Releaf is NHS-registered and a member of the Cannabis Industry Council.
