Gas Music has scored the BBC’s new Euro 2024 trailer.
The MediaCity company is behind the sound design for the film, which will also be used as a title sequence.
“The rich, sensory pinball world we created needed to feel as tactile and authentic as possible,” explained Fred Rodwell, Creative Director for the trailer and title sequence.
“The soundscape GAS created instantly hurls you into every corner and crevice of the pinball machine. You come out the other side feeling reverberating from the journey you’ve just been on – just like you do with the tournament itself.”
Gas had to work closely with the creative and animation teams to shape the underscore, with the decision made to let the dynamic environment of the machine take centre stage. The music is Welcome to the DDC by Nothing But Thieves.
Commentator, Guy Mowbray recorded a voice over for the ad.
The final mix and master was done in Gas’ studios in Salford.
