Photolink has produced an online magazine for hair salon chain, Regis.
The Manchester agency recently completed the firm’s e-commerce site and RE:Edit will sit alongside that, giving hair and beauty tips and advice, and cross-selling products and service.
“We’ve been creating the content for the Regis blog since 2011, but since then the content and blog has matured into a fully blown online magazine,” explained Rebecca Rae, head of social at Photolink.
“We’ve evolved the site on the basis of a customer need for editorial content around hair and beauty that is led by experts. This fits perfectly with the Regis proposition and also has benefits for our online marketing activity. To have this level of content on the site will aid our efforts with SEO and social media.”
Photolink is the long-term creative and digital partner for Regis and has also produced video content for the magazine.
“A lot of the traffic to the editorial content has historically been from tablet and mobile. It won’t be long before this overtakes the traffic from desktop. It’s because of this that RE:Edit has been built on a grid system so that it works on any screen size and is truly responsive,” added lead digital designer, Nik Gudegast.
“We took design cues from the RegisSalon and ShopRegis parts of the site but gave RE:Edit a much more editorial feel. We wanted to increase the discoverability of the wide range content on the site, making finding new articles as easy as turning a page.”
