Peel rebrands Lowry Outlet as part of £26m redevelopment

The Lowry Outlet at Salford Quays has been rebranded to Quayside MediaCityUK as part of its £26m redevelopment.

Lifestyle Outlets, which is part of Peel L&P explained that the decision was to reflect the imminent arrival of ITV’s immersive I’m a Celebrity… attraction, plus new dining and leisure facilities.

“We are hugely proud of our connection with the Lowry theatre, which will always be part of our identity. The name Quayside MediaCityUK has been chosen to reflect our unique location as the retail and leisure heart of MediaCityUK, as well as celebrating our Salford Quays and dockside heritage,” explained Jason Pullen, Managing Director of Lifestyle Outlets.

“While Outlet shopping is at the heart of what we do, Quayside MediaCityUK offers much more than a traditional outlet for our visitors, with an enhanced leisure offering, great events and entertainment, world class museums and theatres as neighbours,  plus we’re an exciting place to live and work.  Quayside MediaCityUK is much more representative of the vibrant, waterfront location we are becoming and with ITV and The Watergardens opening this year, 2020 is due to be our most exciting year yet.”

The branding will be introduced in phases across the estate, including new signage on the front and within the building, plus an updated website and social channels.
