BBC weatherman, Paul Hudson, has been announced as the new presenter of Inside Out, when it returns in September.
He replaces Toby Foster, who will continue to report for the show, as well as presenting the breakfast show on BBC Radio Sheffield.
“Paul is hugely popular with our audience and I’m very much looking forward to seeing him on our current affairs programming. Inside Out has a reputation for outstanding original journalism, telling surprising stories that reflect our region and asking difficult questions of those in power. Paul is a welcome addition to an excellent team,” said Helen Thomas, head of BBC Yorkshire.
The Inside Out role will be in addition to Hudson’s other presenting duties, including the BBC Look North weather, which he’s been doing for 18 years.
“I’m excited at the prospect of joining Inside Out and working with a great team to tell important and unexpected stories that matter to the people of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. I’m very lucky to be able to combine this new role with my work on Look North,” he said.
