Bafta award-winning series, Operation Ouch! returns to CBBC for a fifth series, going behind the scenes at Alder Hey.
Presented by Drs Chris and Xand van Tulleken, the 10-part series will answers questions about the human body, while also following the journeys of some of the children at one of Europe’s largest children’s hospitals.
“Even after years of practising medicine, we still learn loads of incredible facts ourselves when filming Operation Ouch! It’s going to be fascinating to see behind the scenes of such a world-class hospital and to hear some of the inspiring stories of the patients there,” said Dr Xand van Tulleken.
It’s being made by Maverick Production for CBBC and will air this Autumn.
“The series is a fantastic opportunity for Alder Hey to help educate children about health conditions, medicine and treatments, while also hopefully reducing some of the anxiety they may have about coming into hospital,” added Rick Turnock, medical director at Alder Hey.
