One week to go until Founder F*ck Ups event series returns – last chance to get tickets

With just one week to go until popular tech event series Founder F*ck Ups returns to Manchester, it’s your last chance to secure your tickets and hear from a stellar line-up of leaders for more raw, unfiltered honesty as they share their highs and lows of building a business.

Hosted on 10 September at Bruntwood SciTech’s No.1 Circle Square, the event will be once again hosted in partnership with Praetura Ventures and is all about uniting founders and entrepreneurs with a strict ‘no bullsh*t’ and ‘no judgement’ rule, away from the humble brags on LinkedIn where you can enjoy some real stories and tough lessons to learn from.

Ben Davies, group marketing director at Praetura Group, will be chairing the panel session where he will be joined by four industry leaders including Eddie Whittingham, founder of Ministry of Work. Eddie Whittingham bootstrapped his cyber SaaS business as a sole founder and led a multi-million exit to a NASDAQ-listed company in just four years. He has since gone on to found numerous other businesses, including D2C baby wear and converted a 19th century chapel in Salford into a premium workspace, Ministry of Work.

Anna Sutton, co-founder and CEO of The Data Shed will also be joining the panel. Sutton co-founded The Data Shed, a bootstrapped Leeds based data engineering consultancy in 2013. Exiting to Hippo Digital in March 2023, she is now back at the beginning of the start-up journey with her SaaS data integration platform, The Data Refinery.

Expect to hear from Ayaan Mohamed Ali, founder and CEO of Digitech Oasis, a data automation company. Digitech Oasis creates AI and robotics to help users predict, improve and automate critical business functions. Based in Manchester, she founded Digitech Oasis in 2020 to challenge the gender gap in tech.

Completing the panel is Bobby Thandi, founder and CEO of XR Games, a multi award-winning VR and AR game development studio with over 100 members of staff. XR Games also works with the world’s largest publishers and hardware manufacturers such as Meta, PlayStation & Microsoft and works closely with AAA game studios, movie studios, and IP holders to bring world renowned IPs to life in VR.

From grappling with burnout to dealing with new hires having brushes with the law, previous Founder F*ck Up events have seen founders share their real stories, lessons, successes and setbacks. Expect much more at this year’s event!
