The One Show will be hitting the North East later this month for its second two-day Summer Festival.
Various events will take place in the region over the course of August 27 and 28, with the early evening BBC daily show presented by Alex Jones and Matt Baker live from the Sage Gateshead on August 28.
A free festival, located on Gateshead Quays, will feature One Show regulars Angelica Bell, Carrie Grant and Larry Lamb, and is open to all visitors on both days.
Presenter Matt Baker said: “I’m so proud to be taking the One Show summer festival up to my neck of the woods, the North East. We’ll be in Gateshead next to the Sage on the River Tyne, so you’ll see for yourself what a vibrant part of Britain it is.”
Moray London, executive producer of BBC Learning, added: “It will be a true celebration of the area and we can’t wait for people to join us.”
