Manchester-based online travel agent On the Beach has launched a new booking site for Irish customers following its deal with Irish budget airline Ryan Air earlier this year.
The package holiday specialists’ new Irish site (onthebeach.ie) allows Irish customers to book European beach holidays in Euros departing from Cork, Dublin, Kerry, Knock and Shannon airports, with flexible payment options and deposits from €30 available.
On the Beach sends over 1.5 million people on holiday every year and all flight-inclusive packages are financially protected.
The Irish website launch follows the online travel agent’s recent partnership agreement with Ryanair, which came following a protracted legal battle between the pair. https://www.prolificnorth.co.uk/news/on-the-beach-and-ryanair-kiss-and-make-up-after-bitter-2m-court-battle/
On the Beach customers can now book Ryanair flights as part of their On the Beach holiday package,
On the Beach chief customer officer Zoe Harris said: “Our launch in Ireland means more choice and great value to holidaymakers who want to book a holiday from their local airport.”
“With our Ryanair partnership, the sheer volume and variety of Ryanair flights from airports like Cork and Dublin are now available to book as part of a package.”
In May this year, On the Beach announced interim results for the six months to March 31, 2024, that showed the group achieved an 11% improvement in revenues of £80.8m, while its total transaction value (TTV), showing the holidays booked in the period before cancellations and adjustments, rose 22% to £597.8m. A pre-tax loss last year of £5.9m was also transformed into a £600,000 pre-tax profit.
