The Oldham Evening Chronicle has returned for a limited print run today.

Its new owner, radio station, Revolution 96.2, has published an Open Days supplement featuring local Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Education organisations.

It marks the first print edition since Hirst Kidd and Rennie went into administration in 2017.

Since then it has been a digital-only publication.

In the editorial, it stated:

“As this is the first printed newspaper that we have produced since the demise of the old Oldham Chronicle, we hope you agree that the paper is informative and interesting, even if you are not looking for a school to attend.

“So welcome back to old readers and welcome to our new readers!”

It says that “tens of thousands of readers” follow the online edition every month.

The paper will be distributed through schools and local supermarkets.
