The new Museum of Science and Industry website has launched today, created by Numiko.
The Leeds digital agency is currently working across the Science Museum Group’s portfolio of museums, and this is its second, after the National Science and Media Museum site in the Spring.
The new website uses the Drupal 8 platform and features new sections including Objects and Stories and a What’s On guide. A booking form helps groups make the most of their visits.
“Britain is world famous for its museums and their websites help attract millions of tourists to the UK every year, a fact backed up by research revealing that the Science Museum ranks the most googled museum in the world!” said Dave Eccles of Numiko.
“We’re excited to have launched this site for the Museum of Science and Industry, the second in our partnership with the Science Museum Group, which is evolving at every stage. Much like the relationship between the four museums, there is a uniformity in the infrastructure behind each of the websites, with subtle design characteristics – such as the contrasting colour palettes – helping to reinforce the unique identities of each museum whilst harnessing the brand value of the Group.”
Numiko will now focus on the Science Museum in London and the National Railway Museum in York.
