In case there weren’t enough scare stories circulating about how AI is set to take over the world and steal all our jobs, the team at award-winning podcast producer This Is Distorted has created a podcast series completely by AI.
Synthetic Stories’ story, voice, sound and artwork was all made entirely by Artificial Intelligence, and This Is Distorted adds that even the press release it sent out to plug its latest experiment was AI-generated.
The show explores the potential of AI in creative fields by leveraging the latest advancements in machine learning and natural language processing, and promises to deliver a truly unique and engaging listening experience by harnessing the creative power of AI and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in AI storytelling.
“We’re excited to unveil Synthetic Stories – a podcast series where the scripts are written by robots, the sound design is engineered by machines, and the only human touch is our PR representative, Becky. It’s a whole new level of ‘artificially intelligent’ entertainment,” someone tells us in the press release, although in what could be the first sign of a chink in Skynet’s armour, the AI writing the press release doesn’t tell us who – presumably, and slightly disturbingly – the AI itself.
Listeners can expect to hear a range of different stories, from sci-fi thrillers to heartwarming dramas, with each episode featuring a unique storyline and cast of characters, and Synthetic Stories promises to keep audiences engaged and entertained from start to finish.
