Northern Marketing Festival 2024: Everything you can expect at the Leeds event

Prolific North is gearing up to host a brand new event series next month – Northern Marketing Festival – to celebrate, connect and inspire the North’s ambitious marketing sectors.

From 24 to 27 June, Northern Marketing Festival will be hosted across three cities – Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester – where you can expect to uncover marketing insights and top tips to help take your marketing knowledge to the next level from expert speakers.

So what can you expect in Leeds? Day two of the festival will take place on 25 June at VUE Cinema, where Yorkshire’s creative and marketing communities will come together to connect and share ideas over two stages of content.

Stage one – performance marketing

We’ll be covering the latest trends and strategies shaping the future of performance marketing, plus shining a spotlight on the brand marketers to watch across the North, throughout the day on stage one.

Keen to uncover how to grow your business with paid media? Join festival headline partner Embryo for this special session where the independent search-first marketing agency will share its valuable insights.

With the recent explosion of GenAI, algorithmic bidding and emerging platforms, the search ecosystem is changing fast – disrupting consumer behaviours and upending established advertising strategies and business models. How should brands respond to gain a competitive advantage in this pivotal moment? Find out more about the future of search during this talk with Danny Blackburn, chief strategy officer at KINESSO.

Expect to hear from Laura Kenny, VP of Marketing at BOXT, who will share how BOXT has raised the temperature and ignited plans to become the go-to platform for the heating industry.

We’ll be wrapping up this stage with an exclusive reveal of Prolific North’s Northern brand marketers list plus a panel discussion on how we’re raising the bar in marketing and creativity in the North. There’s still time to nominate yourself or another individual here.

Stage two – creative brand building

From fireside chats with leading Yorkshire brands to how to tap into authentic storytelling in the age of generative AI, expect even more insights over on stage two.

Make sure you join McCann Worldgroup for a dedicated talk on the shift from brand meaning to brand impact where strategy directors James Bagan and Miles Williams will delve into the journey of advertising and unpack how marketers can more effectively link spend to growth and long-term success.

There will be a keynote and fireside chat with Dom Dwight, Strategy & Innovation Director at Betty’s & Taylors of Harrogate. With a 16-year career at the brand, he spent eight years as marketing director where he helped Yorkshire Tea to become the UK’s number one brew through consistently creative comms. Now focusing on strategy and innovation, Dwight is exploring new ideas that could shape the future for one of Yorkshire’s most successful independent businesses.

Want to find out how to ensure your content delivers what you need, not just what you asked for? Join a special session presented by Neil Adams, CEO and co-founder at Powerhouse, who will share proactive ways to make the most out of your marketing budget.

There will be no Bored-Rooms with Marc Allot, Creative Director at First Event and Max Collishaw, Head of Innovation & Tech at First Event, as the duo share their insights on the latest strategies and innovations to apply to your events, as well as the pitfalls to avoid.

Wrapping up the day, Alex Culshaw, Head of Qualitative Research at Spark Market Research, will be exploring how the power of experimentation and insight can allow marketers to truly play and find out how brands can navigate the balance between playing it safe and being playful during a fireside chat with Ponderosa.

It’s set to be an unmissable day for marketers, both brand and agency side. With plenty more announcements and speakers to be revealed soon, check out the full agenda here and make sure you take advantage of the early bird tickets here before they go!
