Northern Artillery shoots for Tesla on remote Scottish Isle

Tesla has commissioned Leeds-based Northern Artillery to produce a film shot on the Isle of Eigg, highlighting the off-grid availability and usage of its energy-saving products.

The Isle of Eigg is a small Isle in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. It is not connected to the mainland electricity supply and has a limited capacity energy system. It’s also home to a pioneering, environmentally conscious micro-brewery. The brewery uses Tesla’s solar panels and Powerwalls to operate reliably and sustainably.

The film demonstrates the reliability of the Tesla solar panels and Powerwall, a battery that stores energy, detects outages and automatically becomes the energy source when the grid goes down. Powerwall reduces reliance on the grid by storing solar energy for use when the sun isn’t shining.

Northern Artillery and Tesla on the Isle of Eigg

Gemma Scott, customer and market development, Tesla, said: “Northern Artillery were the obvious choice for this project. They’re a great team to work with – always reliable and organised. We have a lot of trust in their capabilities and they never need their hands holding.”

Fiona Dollan, director, Northern Artillery, added: “Not only did we get to work with the energy leading giants, but we got to visit the stunning, remote Isle of Eigg. At Northern Artillery we love to support Telsa’s environmentally conscious energy capabilities to power a small brewery business and make brewing greener. A winning combination for the economy and environment.”
