Newsquest has named Adam Lord as its new regional sports editor for the North West of England.
Lord will work across The Bolton News, Lancashire Telegraph, Bury Times, The Oldham Times and The Messenger.
It comes following two senior departures at Newsquest sports desks. Neil Bonnar, the former head of sports at The Bolton News and Bury Times retired after almost 3 decades at the papers last month.
While former Lancashire Telegraph sports editor, Alex James, now works at Reach’s Lancs Live digital news operation.
Lord joins Newsquest after more than 8 years at JPI Media titles, The Morecambe Visitor, Lancaster Guardian and Lancashire Post.
