Newcastle digital marketing agency Venture Stream is set to appear on BBC’s The One Show tonight (February 8th) to share how trialling a four-day week has gone.
In September 2021, the agency announced it would trial a shorter week, moving to 32 hours each week with no loss of pay or benefits. Currently, it works with clients including Barbour and Yogamatters, providing services across ecommerce, website development and marketing.
Tonight, several members of its team will be interviewed by presenter and One Show regular Matt Allwright, in a short film produced by Freeform Productions, who approached Venture Stream in December.
The segment will close with Chief Commercial Officer James Chapman revealing to staff whether the change will be made permanent.
James Chapman said: “When we were first approached by the Freeform team, we were naturally a little nervous about the idea of appearing on national television, but jumped at the chance to talk about the success of our four day work week.
“We’re a relatively small business in the North East of England, so we’re absolutely thrilled to be able to reach such a large audience to talk about the importance of prioritising staff wellbeing and promoting a better work/life balance.”
