Manchester’s Embryo Digital has hired a new Sales Director in Paul Cunningham, who joins the agency from WMG.
Cunningham is an experienced figure, having previously spent many years at Epiphany Search. In his career he’s provided work for leading brands like Pretty Little Thing, Gymshark, and Stagecoach.
He will join the digital agency’s Board of Directors, taking its number to five – and is tasked with growing Embryo’s client base, increasing national exposure, and building a dedicated sales and marketing team.
Commenting on his appointment, Cunningham said: “I’ve commuted to, and worked in, the Yorkshire digital space for the past seven years, and there are some fantastic digital marketing agencies there. However, this is what I feel is lacking in Manchester, and it’s time an agency came along to compete with these Yorkshire-based brands.
“Embryo Digital have proven time and time again that they are capable of becoming that agency. [The] team are extraordinarily creative and this shows not just in their work and client feedback, but also in the results they gain, and the projects they put out into the world.
“More than this, they’ve flourished in a time of worldwide uncertainty, having brought on a range of new clients the past few months, some of which are quite notable brands. They don’t slow down, and it’s this passion that I want in the agency I work for, and what’s needed to take them nationwide.”
Ross Green, Managing Director of Embryo Digital, added: “Paul is renowned for his brand-building expertise, his knowledge of the digital marketing arena and his ability to forge strong relationships with clients and team members alike. We couldn’t be happier that he has decided to join Embryo, and we can’t wait to see where he helps to take our agency.”
