New green screen-enabled livestreaming studio opens in Liverpool

A brand new, state-of-the-art livestreaming studio has opened at Liverpool’s Brunswick Business Centre.

Transmission Studio is designed for hosting virtual conferences and events, as well as live broadcasts including influencer livestreams, podcasts and music performances.

Livestreaming specialist, Virtuopo, is behind the high-tech studio, which features cutting-edge green screen technology, broadcast-quality lighting, a fixed gallery, green room, dressing room, and catering space.

Transmission Studio is available for corporate hire with a full virtual reality backdrop or as a standard studio, which can be used for video production, TV commercials and photoshoots. An experienced production crew can also be provided as an optional extra.

The fully equipped studio is expected to attract a wide range of businesses from creative agencies and events companies hosting virtual conferences to brands and retailers running livestream shopping events. The studio features remote production facilities, which allow directors to produce virtual events or live broadcasts from anywhere in the world. Clients can also connect to the studio in real time to work with the team remotely.

Transmission Studio has already played host to a number of exciting projects including a live global conference for a Premier League football club and a large green screen corporate production, which is due to launch next year.

Chris Holmes, managing director at Transmission Studio and Virtuopo, said: “Launching Transmission Studio will be a real game changer for Virtuopo as we offer clients access to state-of-the-art live broadcasting facilities on-site at our Liverpool headquarters. The studio is also available for corporate hire with or without a production crew, which is set to become a valuable resource for the Liverpool City Region’s business community, particularly the thriving digital and creative sector.

“We’re looking forward to hosting many different types of virtual events and live broadcasts at Transmission Studio from large scale corporate conferences, product launches and business meetings to live music sessions and social media livestreams. Green screen technology means there really is no limit to creativity or the nature of events we can deliver.”

Virtuopo was established by Holmes – co-founder of Liverpool-based video production company Zut, where he was head of live content for over a decade – in 2020.

The opening of Transmission Studio forms part of Virtuopo’s ambitious expansion plans, and follows on from the firm picking up both Creative Business of the Year in the North West Start Up Awards and Good Business Charter accreditation earlier this year.
