New free-to-enter categories for the Prolific North Champions Awards 2023

The Prolific North Champions Awards 2023 will celebrate the emerging rising stars from the region through a number of free-to-enter categories.

Held on 18 May at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club, our flagship awards ceremony continues to showcase the very best talent and creativity across the North’s digital, creative, media and tech industries.

As well as returning popular and new categories, there are a variety of new free-to-enter categories to choose from too as Prolific North continues to support the teams, companies and individuals doing remarkable things.

Made in the North & Making Global Waves. This award is open to companies headquartered in the North of England that have global ambitions. Whether you might be an agency or brand, we’re on the lookout for the companies that have already made a global impact and are taking steps to grow on an international stage. 

Best In-House Marketing Team. This award is looking for the most creative in-house marketing teams who have the power to take a brand to the next level. If you have top-level metrics, achievements and a culture of success, this could be one for you to enter.

Not-for-profit Campaign of the Year. Have you crafted an impactful campaign that stands up for what matters? This award will recognise the creators of a campaign which promotes a charity or non-profit to help it continue with its mission. 

Tech for Good Award. This returning award recognises an innovator with a solution that has made a positive social impact over the last year. Previous award winners include AnonyMind for its confidential and flexible mental health service platform.



Outstanding Contributor to the North. We’ve had a real mix of winners for this award over the years who continue to do incredible things in the community such as Paul Corcoran, CEO of Agent. This award will go to an inspirational individual who can demonstrate real business success whilst creating an impact beyond their business and into the wider region.

Outstanding Rising Star. With no bounds to the rising stars across the North, this award will celebrate a young individual under 30 at the time of the awards ceremony, who has demonstrated outstanding talent, skill, passion, attitude or resilience over the past year. 

Journalist of the Year. Regional journalism is more important than ever and the North boasts some of the most talented professionals in this sector. This award will recognise the journalist that can demonstrate high-quality journalism across a variety of topics, investigations or campaigns.
