Lancashire-based nutrition company Science in Sport (SiS) has appointed a new group e-commerce director.
Neil Tinegate joins the AIM-listed firm – which last year grew revenue by 37% to £21.3m – from Heineken, where he is currently director of e-commerce and product Europe.
SiS is the official sports nutrition supplier to many professional cycling teams including Team INEOS, British Cycling and USA Cycling, and also supplies over 80 professional football clubs in the UK and is an official partner to British Triathlon.
Tinegate’s appointment is the second at board level in recent weeks after the appointment last month of James Simpson as the Nelson-based company’s new chief financial officer.
He has also previously worked at Home Retail Group and EMI Music. At SiS, he will be responsible for the strategic and operational aspects of the PhD.com and SiS.com websites and for online sales on other platforms.
He will officially begin his new role in January.
SiS chief executive, Stephen Moon, said: “His track record of driving online growth in international markets for brand-led businesses will be of great value to the group as we continue on our trajectory of rapid online sales growth.”
