New director of people, culture and comms role at newly named IMA

Jay Dickinson has taken up the new role of director of people, culture and communications at the recently rebranded IMA (formally IMA-HOME), leading the agency’s people agenda.

Formerly the agency’s planning director, Dickinson – who is back from maternity leave after her second child – will be responsible for driving the agency brand and culture as the business continues to expand its global offer and reach.

This includes responsibility for IMA’s employee engagement forums, sustainability, DE&I, learning and development, talent acquisition and talent retention programmes, all while ensuring that the agency’s brand and values are placed front and centre at every stage.

Dickinson will bring her strategic capabilities to the new role, as well as her previous experience of 15 years in marketing, gained both agency and client side. She will work with every team in the agency and at every level of the business to make sure that all voices are heard and understood.

The agency’s more streamlined approach sees the brand moving from IMA-HOME to IMA in the UK. The agency is already known as IMA in the US, Australia, Europe and South Africa.

Nickii Gray, chief exec partner at IMA said: “After merging two of the largest independent agencies in the UK and working to refine our global proposition, we want to ensure we focus as much on our people as we do our product and we’re happily in a place where we’re clear on who we are and how we deliver great work for clients. As we continue to expand, developing our people and culture is paramount, as is our commitment to creating opportunities, experiences and careers, and Jay is exactly the right person to lead this new phase.”

Newly monikered Dickinson added: “I believe that our brand and our beliefs should drive everything we do as an agency. From the culture we want to create and the people initiatives that help us thrive, to the way we communicate what we do and how we think about marketing in the real world. It’s important to me to work at an agency where recognition has been given to the importance of this in meeting our agency ambitions. And I’m excited to play a part in this in my new role.”
