Wavemaker has promoted Kate Bradbury to the position of deputy managing director, Wavemaker North.
Working alongside Emma Slater, regional managing director, she will be responsible for leading the client, planning and strategy teams based in Manchester. Bradbury will focus on Wavemaker’s ambition to create unrivalled work that has a positive impact in the world and will be responsible for driving even more growth for Wavemaker’s people, clients and the agency.
Bradbury has been with Wavemaker for ten years. She has recently held the position of managing partner, leading the strategy and planning across all clients in the agency, notably for Jet2 and Dr Oetker.
Her unmatched understanding of all elements of the client’s business, the category and industry in which they operate, coupled with her genuine passion for the art and science of media planning, has allowed her to be a trusted business advisor, working beyond media communications to facilitate growth.
In addition, Kate has, and will continue to be, integral in helping to grow and develop Wavemaker’s strong agency culture, and to seamlessly integrate Wavemaker’s 75-strong Manchester team into the wider WPP community as it settles into its new campus home.
Regional MD Slater said: “Kate is quite simply one of the best in the business – over the past ten years she has worked tirelessly to build strong relationships both externally with clients and the regional media partner community, but also internally with the Manchester and UK leadership team. We are certainly set to become a force to be reckoned within Manchester and beyond!”
Bradbury added: “In the week I celebrate my 10th Wavemaker birthday I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking up the role of Wavemaker North’s deputy managing director. Bringing together our brilliant planning and client leadership teams will see us better placed to support our clients and increase our ability to produce award-winning work. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together as one team.”
