Leeds-based icelolly has made two senior management appointments, including the arrival of Elliot Muscant as non-executive advisor.
Muscant stood down as the CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network North in 2018, having led its 4 offices in the North of England since 2016. In May he returned as Managing Partner of Manchester-based programmatic consultancy, Open Partners.
“We are delighted to welcome Elliot to the Board during this exciting period for icelolly.com. He brings a unique, strategic vision and perspective to the company. As we look to further develop our customer proposition and expand, his wealth of experience in growth businesses and digital marketplaces will be invaluable,” said CEO, Richard Singer.
The holiday comparison site has also named Simon Lloyd as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Starting in January next year, he will be responsible for shaping the company’s “strategic approach to marketing,” working alongside its commercial and product teams.
“I am thrilled to be joining icelolly.com at such a great time. I look forward to working with the team to continue the great work already undertaken, focussing on creating and delivering best-in-class marketing initiatives to inspire new and existing customers as we scale icelolly.com further,” he said.
Lloyd has held executive roles at AXA, Superdry and Virgin Atlantic. He also spent 3 years at the BBC as Director, Media Engagement North for Sport, Childrens’, Radio5 Live and Learning in Salford and also Director of Marketing Communications and Audiences for its Future Media and Technology department.
“I am delighted to welcome Simon to the icelolly.com team as our Chief Marketing Officer,” added Singer.
“He has an excellent track record for building brand equity within and without travel, with senior expertise in brand, CRM, insights, content, social, digital marketing and media engagement. 2020 is set to be an exciting time for icelolly.com as we look to raise the brand’s profile and drive differentiation. Simon’s role will be pivotal to achieve our ambitious growth targets.”
