Manchester-headquartered Cloud Technology Solutions (CTS) has promoted Managing Director Tom Ray to the role of CEO.
The news follows the decision of James Doggart, the firm’s incumbent CEO, to step into an advisory Founder Director role following nearly 10 years at the helm of the group’s two companies.
Ray will now lead the group’s two partner companies, CTS and CloudM, having helped grow CTS in his role as Managing Director. The new role will enable him to support growth of the group’s SaaS data management platform. CloudM.
As part of the restructure, the current Chief Operating Officer Chris Brunch will now become the Managing Director of CTS. Gary Bennion, Managing Director of CloudM, will retain his position.
CTS, which has offices in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Utrecht, recently secured a new contract with Yorkshire Post publisher JPIMedia to migrate its systems to Google Cloud.
Speaking of his new appointment, Tom Ray said: “I originally joined CTS as Managing Director to drive growth specifically in key markets including retail, financial services and public sector, working closely with James. It’s thanks to James’ dedication and expertise that the company is where it is today, and I’m delighted to be able to continue to drive the business forward as he moves into a founding director role.”
