The PHA Group, which boasts specialist fitness and sports teams, has been appointed as the PR agency for SUDU, a new Manchester headquartered UK sportswear brand.
The partnership is the latest in a series of agency announcments for the challenger brand, which has also announced tie ins with Northern Artillery and Serotonin since it dropped its first collection in May/June, alongside a high-profile kit deal with Wolves. PHA will help grow the SUDU brand following the successful launch of their first Run menswear collection, which features 16 products designed to help runners of all abilities unleash their inner athlete.
In addition, having also already helped announce the brand as Premier League side Wolves’s new official technical kit provider, PHA will help drive awareness of the deal and SUDU’s revolutionary new kit model, as they look to roll this out working with other teams across sports.
The brand has the backing of Levy UK & Ireland – part of FTSE 100 company Compass Group PLC, and a market leader in the world of sports and entertainment experiences – boasting some of the biggest and best stadiums and leisure locations in Europe as its venue partners.
PHA will be tasked with raising awareness of SUDU through consistent, quality media exposure via an always-on press office, including elements such as product PR, brand storytelling and community engagement.
Additionally, PHA will build and establish SUDU’s reputation as a disruptive new force to enter the sportswear market, helping grow their market share as the brand continues to build across further Play football, Train fitness and Rest lifestyle categories, extending to womenswear, into 2025.
Vinny Clark, CEO of Levy Merchandising, a new arm of Levy UK & Ireland, said: “Launching SUDU into the market has been incredibly exciting, and the support PHA have already provided as a seamless extension of our team has been invaluable. Having spoken to Alex and The PHA Group, it was clear from their experience and expertise that they were the right agency to support us, and together, I’m excited to see what we can achieve.”
Senior account director at The PHA Group, Alex Cornwell, added: “Launching a new sportswear brand into such a competitive market is no easy task, but once we spoke to Vinny and the team at SUDU, we had full confidence in both the products and the vision that was laid out, we were just excited to get started. It’s been an absolute pleasure to support amplifying their launch, and we know that this is only the start of the journey.”
