Mather & Co has partnered with Dr Patrick Duffy, the former Chief Operating Officer of National Trust in Scotland, to head up its new Middle East office.
The Cheshire-based design studio is seeking to “ignite a new era” of visitor experience in the region.
Duffy the former Managing Director of Cardiff Airport, spent almost 8 years as COO at the National Trust for Scotland. He’s also been MD of RNLI and Commercial Director of Dublin Zoo.
He moved to the UAE in 2021, firstly as Director of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism and now as Managing Partner of Friisberg & Partners International.
“The Middle East is brimming with opportunities for culture, heritage, leisure and attractions development as part of assertive and exciting policies in the region,” he explained.
“Mather & Co is ideally placed to provide innovative design and experience ideas and solutions to help bring these developments alive. We look forward to engaging with the owners and developers of these initiatives at Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo.”
