Manchester United and Sky New Zealand have announced a 3 year deal today, which will mean that MUTV will be shown on the paid television service.
Since taking sole ownership of MUTV in January this year, Manchester United has brokered a series of international deals for the channel, which means that its reach has extended to 57 territories with more than 2 dozen broadcast partners.
“Manchester United’s popularity is ever-growing in New Zealand and with almost half of all households subscribing to Sky’s services, our fans can now become closer to the Club. Through our partnership with Sky they can access MUTV and experience exclusive behind the scenes footage, exclusive interviews as well as live match commentary,” said Manchester United’s group managing director Richard Arnold.
MUTV is run out of studios in central Manchester.
