The Mob Film Company has revealed its second viral video to promote the Manchester United Foundation charity match against Real Madrid.
A follow-up to the Rocky-inspired debut, this time, Bryan Robson’s team of legends gatecrash a training session at the Old Trafford Sports Barn. However, their definition of the word “friendly” leaves a lot to be desired.
The youngsters featured are all involved with Manchester United Foundation projects in Greater Manchester and were invited to take part as a reward. However, the identity of their opponents was kept secret until they turned up on the day.
Filmed in March, it was directed by United supporter Chris Gaffey, who along with the rest of the production company donated his time for free. That included cinematographer, Bob Williams, who travelled from new York to get involved with the project.
United legends take on Real Madrid legends in a “friendly” at Old Trafford in June, with all proceeds going to the Manchester United Foundation, to support projects helping youngsters in disadvantaged areas of the city. The legends squads include Edwin van der Sar, Denis Irwin, Jaap Stam, Lee Sharpe, Andy Cole, Teddy Sheringham, Dwight Yorke, Fernando Hierro, Claude Makelele, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
