Millionaire Hoarders gets second outing

Salford-based Purple Productions is to make a second series of Millionaire Hoarders for Channel 4.

The 8×60 minute run will see experts from the world of antiques, collectables, interiors and fashion uncover the UK’s hidden valuables.

The first 3-part series, which went out in August, achieved a consolidated audience of 1.1m.

“The first series was an utter delight and offered up a unique insight into the fascinating world of antiques, collectables and other such hidden valuables,” said Simon Lee, Commissioning Executive for Channel 4 Documentaries and Factual Entertainment.

“I’m delighted its returning and look forward to having a sneak peek into these extraordinary homes and their potentially valuable pieces that could transform individual’s lives.”

The production team will feature “unique owners” and “extraordinary houses” of all shapes and sizes to shine a lot on the acquired, curated or collected items and the stories behind them.

“We are looking forward to unearthing amazing items that are as rich in story as they are in value,” said Pam Cavannagh, Joint Creative Director of Purple Productions.

The format was developed by Hannah Brownhill and the Series Editor is Zoe Thorman. It’s executive produced by Pam Cavannagh and Dympna Jackson for Purple Productions, which is part of Objective Media Group, an All3Media company.
