Music for Pets, a “petflix” service for cats and dogs hit 1 billion streams last year.
The Manchester company, which was acquired for $10m by Create Music Group last summer, provides original music and video tracks for pet care.
“We are thrilled to join the Billions Club and continue to serve pet owners and their furry friends,” said Amman Ahmed, Founder and CEO of Music For Pets.
“This is an incredible benchmark and we hope to continue to build on the success for years to come.”
Music entrepreneur, Ahmed set up the company with Ricardo Henriquez in 2017 using $1000 of his own savings.
Its research found that 87% of dog owners reported that their pets were less stressed after being exposed to Relax My Dog’s content.
“We hear from pet owners all over the world that Relax My Dog and Relax My Cat have made a huge positive impact on their pets’ overall emotional health,” continued Ahmed.
The channels are available on streaming services including Spotify and YouTube.
