Yorkshire-based conference call company, Meetupcall, has revealed its new look as it seeks to go head-to-head with the likes of Zoom and Google Hangouts.
The work has been completed by Manchester’s BGN, which won a 3-way pitch for the contract, earlier this year.
“Since Meetupcall was founded back in 2009, we have never really spent any time defining a brand strategy,” explained Simon Moxon, Founder and CEO of Meetupcall.
“However, in the wake of the pandemic, and with the majority of companies requiring a remote meeting provider, we recognised the need to define what differentiates the Meetupcall brand in an increasingly competitive market.”
The initial 3 year roadmap of change was impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic and instead was condensed into a “3 week challenge.”
“Speed and responsiveness to the global pandemic was the driving force of this project; we explored strategic options efficiently and how each route would influence the business and the product,” said David Newton, Creative Director of BGN.
“Insight found that personalisation of the platform was a feature that the major brands were lacking. And so the proposition was defined, ‘Remote meetings, Your way’.
“Collaborating with Meetupcall’s product team, we visualised a new identity, messaging and brand. The lack of real, authentic human connection behind the faceless big tech companies was an issue we wanted to highlight and this comes through in our considered typography, photography style and illustration.”
