Meanwhile has appointed Lucy Dawson, an award-winning producer who has worked around the world with BBC Creative, AnalogFolk, Craft Worldwide and McCann across film, installations and content, as its first head of production.
Dawson, who has been working on a freelance basis with the agency on the Chester Zoo and tombola accounts, is tasked with growing Meanwhile’s production capabilities, whilst ensuring the creative ambitions of both the agency and its client roster remain sacred.
Dawson brings a wealth of experience to the newly created role, with enviable experience on brands including Emirates, Aldi, BBC and Chivas Regal. She has also previously worked with the agency founders and CCOs James Cross and Tim Jones, as well as CDs Rachel Miles and Michael Tsim whilst at BBC Creative.
Jones said: “We met a lot of people in our search for this role, but for all of us, Lucy stood out as the kind of production leader that’ll evolve our business. She is truly unique, with a brilliantly diverse background and in-depth knowledge across film, stills, experiences and technology too. She is bursting with energy and enthusiasm for great work, and her entrepreneurial spirit is infectious.”
Dawson herself added: “I’m so excited about joining the team. They are a super talented bunch with a true focus on producing the best creative possible. There is a genuinely good vibe about the place. It feels like an exciting time to be part of it. Working hard with nice people creating great work – you can’t really ask for anything more.”
Meanwhile hit the news recently following their appointment by tombola and East Midlands Railway, which followed the winning Campaign’s Start-Up Agency of the Year for 2024 in a rare non-London agency triumph.
