Steph McGovern has announced that her new Channel 4 show will no longer be filmed from her home, meaning it will be off screen for “a couple of months”.
The Steph Show, which launched on March 30th, was broadcast live from the presenter’s Harrogate home because of the coronavirus pandemic.
However, there were reports that neighbours were unhappy she had turned the property into a makeshift television studio. Ratings have also been disappointing, with just 234,000 viewers tuning in for the debut episode.
Former BBC Breakfast presenter McGovern took to Twitter to announce that the “locked down” show would stop broadcasting from her home after May 7th, and would return from its permanent home at Leeds Dock in “a couple of months”.
