Seasoned marketing and communications specialist Lisa Maynard-Atem has launched a new platform to support female founders and underrepresented entrepreneurs with personal branding.
As the former social media lead at Harrods, Maynard-Atem currently wears a number of hats as a board member of The Black United Representation Network (BURN) and the director of marketing and communications at Manchester-based edtech platform Verciti.
“I’ve worked behind the scenes helping some of the biggest brands in the world. Now, I want to put that experience to work for underrepresented entrepreneurs – the ones who often get overlooked, but have the talent and drive to change the game,” she explains.
“This next chapter of my business is all about using everything I’ve learned – as a creative, a strategist, and a Black woman navigating leadership – to help purpose-driven founders build powerful personal brands that attract the opportunities they deserve.”
Through her personal branding platform, she plans to tackle the “real gap” when it comes to who gets championed and funded, and who doesn’t.
“I’m stepping into that gap to help underrepresented founders position themselves as the leaders they already are. It’s not just about visibility, it’s about credibility, clarity and confidence. That’s the heart of what I do: helping people be seen, heard and taken seriously in rooms they’ve fought to be in.”
