A new Sky TV ad campaign will aim to attract home movers to Ellesmere Port in Cheshire.
The 30-second adverts are to be broadcast throughout the North West and North Wales and emphasise the town’s growing economy, affordable housing, low unemployment, good schools and green spaces.
The campaign is a joint initiative between the Ellesmere Development Board and Marketing Cheshire. The ad, created by Marketing Cheshire, targets potential house movers using a special SKYadsmart profiling system, which identifies people most likely to be thinking about a move.
Katrina Michel of CEO, Marketing Cheshire, said: “In and around Ellesmere Port there are woodlands, canals, parks and other green areas.
“The town also features a new Sports Village that includes two swimming pools, an 80-station gym and athletics track. It has outstanding shopping, being home to one of Britain’s biggest designer outlets, McArthur Glen, and to the largest Mark & Spencer store outside London.
“Just nine miles from the centre of historic Chester, the town has a thriving market and large library.”
The Sky TV advert is the latest chapter in a marketing campaign run since 2016 to raise awareness of the town. This has included a programme of social media, blogging and material such as the ‘Ten Reasons why to move to Ellesmere Port’ film.
