Chilli rebrands Saltaire Brewery

Chilli UK has created a new brand and packaging for Saltaire Brewery in Yorkshire.

The company, which has been brewing since 2006 wanted to reposition itself following the “craft beer revolution” over recent years and an influx of new entrants to the market.

It worked with Chilli to ensure it bridges the gap between cask and craft, with the launch of a new creative keg and 330ml range of beers.

The Leeds agency was briefed to inject modernity into the current brand, while also telling the story of Saltaire.

“It was really important for us to remain recognisable for our loyal beer fans while bringing the brewery up to date and the designs from Chilli allow us to do this seamlessly,” explained Hayley Collingswood, marketing manager, at Saltaire Brewery.

“With our standout colours and unique design, we’re really excited to introduce the new range and debut our revitalised look this summer.”

Chilli redesigned the crest, featuring the brewery’s initials, which took inspiration from street signs in Saltaire village. The peaked and slanting roof to the brewhouse is reflected in the lettering as well as on bottle labels and pump clips.

“We enjoyed working with Saltaire on developing the refreshed brand identity and new packaging for the much-loved core beers and new contemporary range. It was a great opportunity to modernise the brand and refocus on the heritage, tying Saltaire back to its roots but in a way that’s contemporary,” added account director, Jordan Madrick.
