TBWA brings the horror with Thorpe Park promotion

TBWA\Manchester has created three television commercials to promote Thorpe Park’s new Walking Dead ride.

The theme park signed a deal with the channel AMC to have the first ever rollercoaster experience themed on the television show.

TBWA’s creative tells the story of a young couple who were on a date at the resort on the day the outbreak hit the island.

“With an impressive Year Of…events we needed to show just one visit to Thorpe Park Resort wasn’t going to be enough this year. By taking the essence of the show we told a simple story, through a series of episodes, of how people adapt to the challenges they face in a new universe. Set on the island,” said Fergus McCallum, CEO of TBWA\Manchester.

The executive creative directors were Gary Fawcett, Lisa Nichols, with The Mob Film Company producing the adverts. Post production took place at Rabble.

The media agency was Mediacom.
