The Northern Agency Guide has landed on the doormats of a range of agencies and brands from the North of England and further afield.

With thousands posted out to brand leaders, ensuring it’s a go-to for anyone with marketing budget – as well as anyone who wants important insights into the marketing ecosystem in the region – the Northern Agency Guide is on-sale right now.

It was launched as a place to profile some of the leading agencies in the North – many drawn from our Top 50 lists of PR agencies, integrated agencies, and digital agencies – alongside Q&As with senior figures, unique data insights, and thought leadership from important names.

The Northern Agency Guide features agency profiles

The Northern Agency Guide was printed by Galloways, with Journey Further and GO! as Headline Sponsors and Big Brand Ideas, Hitsearch and Adzooma as Associate Sponsors.

Agency Profiles

Opening with Digital Agencies, the Northern Agency Guide provides three maps which plot our Top 50 Digital Agencies list, our Top 50 Integrated Agencies list, and our Top 50 PR Agencies list. It then launches into the first agency profiles, featuring insights into the most important digital agencies in the North.

The second section profiles all the best integrated agencies in the North, followed by the best PR agencies. Take a look at the photo above for an example of one of our profiles.

Profiles, which feature agency summaries, relevant statistics and Q&As with agency heads, are interspersed with Case Studies – ranging from PZ Cussons’ website rebuild from First Internet, to the product launch of the Greggs Vegan Steak Bake from Drummond Central.

Each profile is filled with vital information and high-quality imagery, something each agency included in the guide can be proud of.

Thought Leadership

As well as insights from the agencies included in the guide, a range of important creative figures have taken part in writing for the Northern Agency Guide, producing thought pieces for the guide.

The first is titled ‘Out of office, forever?’, and brings together two agency leaders to debate whether the move to working from home as a result of COVID is a permanent one. Arguing for the affirmative is Darren Ratcliffe of Digitl, with Stefanie Hopkins of Faith PR countering.

Also included are four city ‘insider’s guides’ – asking people in the know where the best places to socialise, eat, work, grab a coffee and more in Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool and Newcastle.

As previewed on Prolific North recently, we have long reads from Sinead Rocks of Channel 4 – who’s told the story of the broadcaster’s first year in Leeds – as well as from four agency owners, who discuss some of the silver linings that might come out of the COVID crisis.

Also included in the guide is Steve McCarron, who says ‘It’s time to bring the weirdos and misfits in’ – explaining why we need to maintain the culture of challenge into perpetuity. As well as this, there’s information on strategies to win new business from Nick Brookes, Managing Partner of driven – named as the UK’s most successful agency at winning new business in 2020.

Data and insights

Rounding off the Northern Agency Guide is a selection of really useful data to help agency readers of all seniority levels. We’ve included a fourth Prolific North ranking – the 2020 Top 75 Tech & eCommerce Companies, which provides data on the most successful tech firms operating in the region.

As well as the Top 75 list is a salary survey – covering pay levels for agency or client-side roles, ranging from artworkers and back-end developers to directorial roles and heads of department.

This is alongside ‘The Biggest Spending Brands in the North’ – supplying independent data on the companies based in the region with the biggest total advertising spend.

All the information a brand or agency might need is included in this year’s Northern Agency Guide – Prolific North’s first ever print product. We’re incredibly proud to bring this idea to life and provide a high-quality piece of literature that’s bound to become a staple of many office bookcases.

Recipients have already started sharing photos of their copy using the hashtag #NAG20 on Twitter. If you want to get your own copy of the guide for £25, head to our Northern Agency Guide to order yours.
