Former Brass Managing Partner Paul McGann has set up a new promotional marketing agency in Leeds city centre along with ex-colleagues Joanne Schofield and Lawrence McNally.
McGann promises that Cat Among The Pigeons will be a “more agile promotional agency” that “helps brands disrupt and engage shoppers across the path to purchase”.
From May 2010 to November 2019, McGann was Managing Partner of Leeds-based Brass. The agency went into administration at the end of his tenure and was subsequently acquired by Inc & Co, the agency collective set up by Dreamr’s Jack Mason.
McGann is joined at Cat Among The Pigeons by former Brass colleagues Schofield – who was account group director there from 2005 – and McNally – who was account manager from 2012 and then account director from March 2019.
McGann said: “The time is right for a more agile promotional agency model that helps brands disrupt and engage shoppers across the path to purchase. Many supermarkets sell in excess of 50,000 products in-store and online and it is becoming increasingly difficult for brands to get noticed and bought.
“Our planning and campaign approach cuts through the clutter to create stand out, not standard promotional marketing that really drives rate of sale and ROI.”
