Manchester’s Finest makes hires across editorial and commercial teams

Online lifestyle publisher Manchester’s Finest Group has made five new appointments across its editorial and commercial teams.

Editorially Ben Arnold, an experienced senior writer, joins from Manchester Evening News, bringing with him a profound understanding of the local hospitality landscape and a wealth of experience in leading multi-platform content projects. He has previously worked for the likes of The Guardian, Yahoo! News, ShortList and FHM, as well as providing bespoke editorial content for high profile clients like Channel 4, Virgin Music and Sony BMG. Arnold will be overseeing Manchester’s Finest editorial as well as working on wider-ranging content strategy for the Finest brand.

Also from the MEN, Natalie Rees joins the team in the new role of editorial executive. Rees honed her skills in both lifestyle editorial and social media content creation under the City Life brand. She will oversee and expand Finest’s new events listings coverage across Greater Manchester.

Elsewhere, Emily Kemp is one of two new account manager hires. She brings expertise from WRG, showcasing a proven track record in account management and extensive previous experience in events. She will play a pivotal role in nurturing client relationships and executing campaigns.

Carly Spencer, an experienced account manager from London’s W Communications, will add strategic insight to the account management team and bring experience of large scale activations and ad campaigns for global FMCG brands.

Finally, Benjamin Weiss is the group’s new partnership sales executive having joined in the summer. He has taken charge of selling the recently launched Places business directory. Weiss brings sales experience in sales from previous roles at Wavze, PHMG and Neuron Pro Audio to spearhead the Places initiative.
