The smash hit game show Deal or No Deal is back, and it’s filming at dock10 in MediaCityUK.
The hit show, in which players attempt to outsmart the banker by successfully guessing how much money is in a selection of boxes, originally ran from October 2005 to December 2016 on Channel 4, and was presented by Noel Edmonds. It was based on a Dutch format and players could win up to £250,000.
The show is now being rebooted by ITV, with comedian and magician Stephen Mulhern widely touted as the likely replacement for Edmonds.
The producers are still keeping quiet about exactly who will be filling the presenter’s chair, but they have told us where its shooting, and how you can be there to find out who the mystery host will be.
An audience call on the website of TV audience specialist Lost in TV this afternoon invited fans to join the audience for the shooting of two pilot episodes of the reboot, at 2pm on Thursday December 1 at dock10, while remaining conspicuously ambiguous about the host.
“Join us and a celebrity host live in the studio for two pilot recordings of the much-loved game show, ‘Deal or No Deal,’” LiTV implored. “Watch the nail-biting drama unfold as brave new contestants take on the notorious Banker in the hope that they have the nerve, timing and luck to win big. Come along for a thrilling afternoon of ‘Deal or No Deal’ at dock10 studios!”
The posting added that, as the session will be shooting two pilot episodes back-to-back, the likely finish time will be around 7pm, so you know where to go if you can’t wait for social media to reveal the identity of the new host at 2:01pm.
