BBC Breakfast landed the tremendous coup of a double Brian Cox on the show this morning, but hotel technology caused a slightly embarrassing mix up.
Professor Brian Cox, who was due to talk all about Black Holes explained that when he arrived at the hotel and said there were going to be two people with the same name, they didn’t believe him.
In fact the receptionist said he didn’t recognise either of them and added to that the computer software couldn’t cope.
Understandably Brian Cox, the globally respected actor and star of Succession retained his name, while his younger namesake decided to change his to that of his assistant.
