Cyber security specialist, Mitigate Cyber, has been acquired by The Citation Group.
The company, which formed in 2013, is headquartered at Lancaster University’s InfoLab21, with further offices in Manchester and London.
Wilmslow-based The Citation Group said the acquisition was a “strategic move” to add specialist information security consulting and software services to its offering.

Our vision is to create a one-stop SME ecosystem that provides the tools to keep businesses safe, sustainable and successful, and Mitigate Cyber adds perfectly to that,” explained Chris Morris, Group CEO at The Citation Group.
“Managing and protecting data is vital for every business, whatever size or specialty, and effective cyber security is an absolute must-have for any forward thinking business.”
The group is backed by Hg Capital and KKR, and this is its third acquisition of the year.
