Manchester Metropolitan University’s director of marketing Marie Gray is to leave her role in October.
The Met’s marketing chief announced her departure on LinkedIn: “After five and a half years at The Manchester Metropolitan University leading an amazing team of professional marketers I will be heading to pastures new in early October,” she said.
Gray suggested that she will be starting a new role in October, although she did not give details, promising more in a “future post.”
Gray added that recruitment for her soon-to-be-former role is now open, and was full of praise for her employers: “It is without a doubt one of the biggest and best HE marketing jobs out there – I am slightly biased but it really is a great opportunity,” she said, singling out the university’s Institute of Sport and School of Digital Arts for particular praise.
Gray joined the Met’s marketing team in 2017 and was promoted to her current role in June 2019. She had previously served as head of communications and marketing at Manchester University’s Faculty of Humanities.
