Manchester agency targets European takeover for US energy drink

Manchester’s One Agency is partnering with an American energy drink brand as it seeks to gain a foothold in the European market.

C4 Energy has already established a strong US audience, and has now set its sights on building a presence in Europe, with One Agency on board to assist with the transatlantic plans.

In the UK alone, 30% of Gen Z reports consuming energy drinks regularly, and when combined with further data suggesting 87% of Gen Z exercise at least 3 times per week, they became an essential target audience when building an integrated campaign.

The social media team took control of C4 Europe and C4 MENA, aiming to build up their social presence across Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and also introduced C4 Energy to X (formerly Twitter), where it did not previously have a presence. The One creative team is supporting with design, video, and motion graphics, we’re looking to make a huge impact from day one.

To ensure the agency’s efforts were being seen by Gen Z, the in-house PPC team built a YouTube strategy targeting placements on sports channels, such as The Running Channel, X Games, Virgin Media Sport, Sky Sports, Amazon Prime Video Sport, and Formula 1.

Meanwhile One Events, One Agency’s sister company, turned a shipping container into a bespoke C4 Energy sampling station which made it’s debut at London’s Summer Social. Here, the public could get their hands on energy drinks as well as C4’s pre-workout shots.
