Manchester creative tech agency Modern English has designed and built the website to promote the return of rock legends Linkin Park.
The Modern English team was briefed to create a website that authentically reflects Linkin Park’s legacy and artistic vision ahead of the release of new album, From Zero. The website was designed not just to engage, but expand their global fanbase, and Modern English said: “When this project landed in our inbox, the team couldn’t contain their excitement.”
The approach focused on a mobile-first design, ensuring that user experience was at the forefront of every decision.
The pièce de résistance of the site is a “web toy” which greets users right on the homepage where they can explore variations of the band’s iconic artwork for the latest album.
Linkin Park announced their return in September, comprised of original members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Phoenix and Joe Hahn, now joined by new recruits Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara,as co-vocalist and Colin Brittain, songwriter/producer for G Flip, Illenium, and One OK Rock, as drummer. The band’s original frontman Chester Bennington died in 2017.
The Manchester company added: “At Modern English Digital, we don’t just build websites; we create immersive digital experiences that captivate audiences and drive engagement from the moment they land.”
Modern English is no stranger to rock royalty, having previously undertaken work for the likes of Rod Stewart, Elton John and The Rolling Stones. From Zero is available now via Warner Music and Machine Shop.
