Anna Gledson, who has served as MD of online publisher The Manc Group since July last year, having initially joined in 2019, is moving to digital artist-venue liaison platform GigPig.
GigPig aims to “democratise the live music scene” by providing a free platform where artists can promote themselves to venues and audiences, with no commission fees, while venues can use the tool to check out potential bookings and discover new talent, tap into audiences through the platforms data offering and automate payments.
Both sets of customers can also manage their calendars, promote gigs and communicate with each other through GigPig.
Gledson announced the move on LinkedIn: “I’ve had at The Manc Group joining a team of 4 and leaving a team of 20 across four regions,” she said. “There have been some incredible highs during the last few years, clinching some mega brand partnerships, making friends for life, hosting panel discussions (almost getting over my fear of public speaking!) progressing from a Brand Manager to a Managing Director and learning not only a huge amount about running a business and the ups and downs that go with it but also learning a huge amount about me. I definitely feel like I’ve done a whole lot of growing up in my time there…
“But it’s onwards and upwards and I am buzzing to be joining Kit Muir-Rogers, Michael Forster and the ace team at GigPig UK as CMO where I get to make a right racket about them and the amazing work they’re doing within the music and hospitality industries; both of which happen to be two of my favourite things.”
The Manc Group is the publisher of Mancunian what’s on, entertainment and local news site The Manc.
