Business Insider in Yorkshire has announced that Adam Lovell is to take on the role of editor.
The former business editor at the title replaces Richard Abbott who has left to join Harrogate-based PR agency Cicada Communications.
The journalist, who has a background in news having started his career at the Scunthorpe Telegraph, said he was very excited to have been given the chance to take the reigns at Yorkshire Business Insider.
He told Prolific North: “It’s an exciting opportunity to help lead the regional arm of a modern publishing company with a nationwide audience. The company offers its subscribers a perfect blend of traditional journalism through the magazine – Yorkshire’s leading monthly b2b title – its industry-leading online news service; and of course, the growing number of events and awards ceremonies.
“The responsibility to retain the position established by my predecessors will be a challenge in itself, but I intend to take it further.”
Insider Media publishes four magazines, including the North West Business Insider, as well as Yorkshire Business Insider, along with the UK’s only nationwide regional business email newsletter.
“Yorkshire has many fantastic businesses doing many fantastic things, I hope to be able to help champion and celebrate, challenge where necessary and use all of the platforms we have to engage with more people and more businesses, Lovell continued.
“I join at an opportune moment. Economic growth continues to head in the right direction and there exists a greater-than-ever political focus on supporting that growth in not just Yorkshire, but across the north. It will be challenging, but no doubt an infinite amount of fun.”
